Bergara cured the carbon barrel problem of inconsistency by getting steel and carbon to perfectly work together by managing heat. CURE Barrels are uniquely optimized both mechanically and thermodynamically via a proprietary, patent pending, carbon weave with embedded stainless strands that move heat. Every aspect of the design was optimized to yield an ultralight, stiff, straight, rugged barrel, shot after shot. Two-lug system that features a separate floating bolt head to ensure contact with the lug abutments in the action. Also, features a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located in the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is stainless steel with a pad at the rear to accept the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, the non-rotating gas shield, and the bolt shroud are fully Nitrided for extreme durability, as well as its self-lubricating. The XLR Element 4.0 Magnesium chassis as an ultra-lightweight modular hunting rifle chassis designed for the backcountry hunter. Configured with a carbon fiber folding buttstock and carbon fiber grip. The MgLite features a built-in bubble level, and machined in RRS 1.5 dovetail (Arca-Swiss) in the forend.
